For 20 years, I built my career (and honestly, a huge part of my life) working in the film and television industry.
I’ve spent countless hours on fake spaceships, wandered through forests at 3 a.m., worked in some very questionable locations, and survived more second meals than I can count.
All that hard work led me to becoming a proud makeup member of IATSE Local 873. IATSE stands for the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees. IATSE 873 is a part of IATSE International, the largest union in the entertainment industry.
Film makeup teaches you to think on your feet, move fast, improvise, and create everything from period makeup looks to character breakdowns …sometimes all in the same day, and back and forth again.
It shaped me into the artist I am now: adaptable, creative, and always ready for whatever comes my way.
